Nigerian Community Issue

Recent Waves of Killings of Nigerians by Nigerians in Johannesburg.

By Olaniyi Thevoice Abodedele Dec, 02 2022 | 11:01:30

The attention of the Nigerian Union, Gauteng, has been drawn to the new wave of killings of Nigerians, by fellow Nigerians, in the inner city of Johannesburg. The most recent occurring today, December 2, 2022.

We call on those who are involved in this act to stop it. It is our collective responsibility to keep our community and Gauteng safe. We will do everything in our power and within the law of the land to protect innocent community members and law-abiding members of NUSA Gauteng.

We call on NUSA Gauteng members and Nigerians to be law-abiding, have respect for humanity, and conduct themselves in ways that are befitting of the union, our community, and our country, Nigeria. We are glad that non of our members are involved.

NUSA Gauteng calls on leaders of all Regional and State Associations to call their members to order. We also plead with both missions in Johannesburg and Pretoria to work closely with credible associations and citizens to change the narrative of Nigeria and Nigerians in South Africa.

We call on credible and law-abiding citizens of Nigeria to join NUSA Gauteng and support us in the re-branding process of the union. A stronger union is to our advantage. Together we can build a better community.
